About

Hi, I’m Meg!

I’m an instructional designer, coach, and writer who loves making things that support your best work. In my design work, I craft video-based courses, hands-on assessments, live workshops, and other activities to help learners grow. As a coach, I help clients turn wiggly career paths into structured narratives and clear job search objectives. Through my writing, I’m exploring the attention economy and how we spend our brief time on this planet.

When I’m not working, you can find me running long distances, eating all the noodles, hosting dinner parties for friends, chasing my niece at the park, traveling with my partner, and petting all the good dogs in my neighborhood.

Work

Training

At HubSpot, I make educational content for customers and partners using the ADDIE framework. This involves conducting analysis through a combination of AI-powered document review and 1:1 subject matter expert interviews. From there, I scaffold out the learning experience around critical learning objectives and weave in hands-on assets and assessments so learners can analyze and apply the concepts to their own jobs.

The final product can take many forms: longer courses, short-form video, or in-person workshops. You name it, I can do it.

My catalog includes courses like Scaling Marketing Hub, Building an AI-Leading Organization, Data Integrations, Salesforce Integration, HubSpot Architecture I: Data Models and APIs, HubSpot Architecture II: Content and Messaging Tools, and HubSpot Implementation for Partners.

Writing

I love writing as a means of processing and communication.

One of my favorite projects was writing my book, Find Your Way Forward. This interactive workbook breaks down big career questions into more manageable pieces, infuses the introspection process with curiosity, and helps you externalize your thoughts so you can discover patterns and insights.

You can grab your own copy here.

I’ve also interviewed folks in tech for my Role Models series, and I write Load Less, my weekly Substack dispatch which documents my attempts to get off my phone, touch grass, and follow my wiggly ideas.

Speaking

I love talking about the future of work, and how attention matters more than ever in the digital age.

I’ve discussed trust and creativity, goal setting, navigating career changes, and recovering from illness as an athlete on various podcasts and interviews.I’ve also led in-person workshops at Caveday, Columbia University, and HubSpot’s INBOUND conference.

Coaching

I’m also a career coach who helps women working in tech build careers they love.

I love helping clients define what they’re looking for and create clear narratives to communicate their stories. My clients are women developers, designers, content creators, product managers, and user researchers who work at the intersection of tech and everything: art, finance, sports, media and more.
